Sunday Sound Healing (singing bowls with a twist)
Join me on Sunday February 22 from 2-4:30 pm as I co-host a Sound Healing Workshop with master musician and sound healer Thomas Anderson.
You will experience a wide variety of instruments from drums to didjeridu, tuning forks to tablas, shakers and singing bowls. During the first part of the workshop there will be a discussion of sound healing as well as hands-on interaction with these amazing instruments. During the second part of the workshop, Thomas and I will play these on and around you as you relax in restorative yoga postures, receiving the full power of the vibrations. No previous yoga experience is required.

Thomas Anderson is a gifted sound healer, and has studied with sound healers from around the world. In addition, Thomas holds a masters degree in physics, and has a deep understanding of the affect of sound and vibration on the human body. He has authored a number of works on this subject. His tremendous talents as a musician, healer and physicist combine to create a unique and powerful healing experience.

Kaaren Engel, an artist and certified yoga teacher, has incorporated Tibetan singing bowls into her yoga classes for several years. She also does sound therapy with these ancient bowls (which have been used for centuries for meditation and prayer) and has found the affects to be both powerful and restorative. These bowls release tension, promote relaxation and facilitate healing. Kaaren has been offering Singing Bowl Sundays (restorative yoga workshops) since 2007.
Together, Thomas and Kaaren offer an abundance of sensory and healing experience. Please join us for what is sure to be a very special event.
